The held work cites Gurwitsch's 1932 book as a core source on the mitogenetic effect (MGE), alongside his 1968 work and Gurwitsch and Gurwitsch (1948), and as a review of the MGE literature. It is cited for the effect's dependence on inductor, induction length and interrupted induction, and for non-linear dose dependence with suppression at high doses. It is also recommended for the conditions needed to obtain MGE. Bateman's critical review is said to argue against Gurwitsch's reasoning.
The total literature on MGE on these objects includes no less than 500 publications

The maximal “working” distance depends on the inductor, induction length and special conditions like “interrupted induction”

The effect is non-linearly dose-dependent, with clear suppression phase at high doses (Sussmanowitsch, 1928; Gurwitsch, 1932; Wolf and Ras, 1933).
